““The best place we have ever stayed in England! The room was so comfortable, especially after a long trip. The view from the window is beautiful. Alison and Paul made us feel so welcome. To wake up to the beautiful view and wonderful breakfast has made for a great first visit to Cornwall. We will definitely be back.””
“This has been such a lovely place to stay and the breakfasts were superb. Alison was very warm and welcoming host., we were sorry to miss Paul.
Our huge bedroom with such a lovely view was a warm haven amid rain squalls and we loved our visit to St. Michal’s Mount in the sunshine. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we shall sing your praises to all our friends back in London (where alas the air is not so fresh!).”

“Séjour très agréable chez Paul et Alison, qui sont d’une grande gentillesse.
Nous avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux et beaucoup de conseils sur les lieux de visite à ne pas manquer (carte détaillée à l’appui !) La chambre “Lower Deck” est très cosy, et dispose d’un salon avec TV. Le petit déjeuner, avec beaucoup de choix au menu, est délicieux. Le B&B est à deux pas des restaurants, du centre de Marazion et du causeway pour se rendre au St Michael Mount. C’est indiscutablement une excellente adresse !”

“From Norfolk to Gwynedd and Northumberland to Cornwall, we have stayed in a number of excellent B&B’s. This however is quite possibly the best!
Alison & Paul’s very warm welcome and useful tips immediately make one feel at home. The beautiful room, wonderful view and delicious breakfasts along with added touches have made our stay one to remember. Everyone should visit St Michael’s Mount and staying at The Upper Deck is the icing on the cake. Thank you so much.”

“We should have been on Tresco, but were grounded because of fog and rammed transport due to gig racing on St Mary’s. BUT - Miraculously, Paul and Alison had a vacancy. And what a wonderful 3 days we’ve had. Super comfortable room with a view, Splendid breakfasts, great places to visit (Penlee Gallery in Penzance, The Mount and St Ives), lovely walks and good places to eat. What’s not to like? Thank you both...... Should also say Paul & Alison were 5* hosts !!”
“This place has proved to be ‘home from home’. Relaxed comforts with wonderful attention to detail making this a delightful stay, despite the unseasonable cold winds that prevailed for our 3 days here. We really appreciate the excellent quality of the breakfasts, the welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. We really have loved it here - with plenty to enjoy beside the walks too. “Fantastisches B&B
Das UpperDeck war unsere Rettung in der Not! Wir erreichten, nach einer langen Anreise aus London, unseren Urlaubsort Marazion erst spät abends und kamen nicht mehr in unsere gebuchte Unterkunft. Durch einen glücklichen Zufall kamen wir bei dem lieben Ehepaar Paul und Alison Elliott für unsere erste Nacht unter. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Das UpperDeck ist sehr sauber und schick eingerichtet. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und verbrachten nach aller Anstrengung eine ruhige Nacht.
Am nächsten Morgen gab es ein leckeres Frühstück und anschließend half uns das Ehepaar Elliott noch in unsere gebuchte Unterkunft zu kommen.
Wir können das UpperDeck zu 100% weiterempfehlen!

“Always love staying here - everything as lovely as always. Breakfasts are amazing, the fruit, home made marmalade and the cooked breakfast and everything that goes along with it. So very fond of this place having heard about my mothers time here as an evacuee at the very same Britannia House during the war. Just staying here in Marazion evokes special memories to the family. Paul & Alison are fabulous hosts and we love the hound lovely ‘Betty’, ( new addition since our last stay). Thank you as always - We will be back!”
“The house is amazing and has stunning views of St Michaels Mount especially from the roof garden The owners have made a huge effort to make it feel special and homely, it has everything you could possibly need, all the extra touches were very much appreciated including a lovely welcome hamper. Beautiful decor, excellent location, lots of space and stunning views what more could you ask for, its definitely the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back!”

“A fabulous home that is exceptionally well equipped, in a great location with stunning views of St Michael’s Mount. Perfect holiday home with access to the beach, shops and restaurants. Elevated sun deck for bbq’s and sundowners makes this home an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of a busy life. ”

We had an amazing day at Praa Sands, went to Porthcurno for the first time and we ended our beach days at our long time favourite beach, Sennen. The castle was amazing , as always, and the town so much character. To top it all off, the view of the castle from your deck makes for a great scenic dinner. Thank you ”

“We felt very lucky to have been able to book the whole of Britannia House for our Summer holiday in 2020. The house is extremely spacious, clean, stylish and comfortable. The location just minutes from the shops in Marazion, pubs and the beach is perfect. The 2 parking spaces made life very easy for us too. We have 3 children and they just loved the house even remarking that this was the best holiday house ever! The top deck bedroom and view is fabulous as is the terrace. A wonderful house and holiday. Highly recommend”
“We have stayed with Alison & Paul at their previous B&B (St Michaels B&B), but this is the first time at the Upper Deck and we will return! Felt totally secure with their covid procedures. They are great hosts, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast is lovely, room fantastic and views of the sea and Mount an added bonus. We won’t leave it so long next time xx”

The even offered evening meals as lots of the local restaurants were still closed. We highly recommend staying at the Upper Deck! “Alison and Paul were wonderful hosts. Warm and welcoming, they have thought of all the details to facilitate a comfortable stay for their guests. The room is beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. Everything including the bathroom (which is brand new with a great shower and bath) is spotless. An abundant and delicious breakfast – with more choice than some fancy hotels we recently stayed in - is freshly prepared and served each morning. Great location. We stayed for two nights but wish we could have stayed longer.”

“Best b&b we have ever stayed in... and we stay in a lot!! Beautiful decor, beautiful location, beautiful hosts! I have never stayed anywhere, where the personal touch has been so well done, not forced and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was gorgeous, locally sourced and felt like luxury having it in our room with a lovely view! Ethically ticked up boxes.. like the rest of Cornwall, they have gone as plastic free as possible! ✔️ You will not regret staying here... “Always a difficult decision to book accommodation which isn’t mainstream and with few reviews however, once back in one of our old family favourite locations, the welcome from Alison and Paul put us at complete ease. Every effort was made to make us at home in their home. This experience fully exceeded both our expectations. The accommodation was just the type of place we like, country style in a country cottage, fantastic. The breakfast was something else, superb start to the day, ground coffee fresh fruit, bread, scones, cooked options sadly, we had to return back home after 2 nights 3 days in Marazion. Just wish we had more time to spend with the guys, next time 😜👍. We will return and will spend longer at one of the most beautiful parts of England. ”

Although such a brief visit here, Paul and Alison looked after us perfectly; Fab breakfast and lovely homemade scones with clotted cream on arrival.
